Hi,
We picked a selection of ATtiny microcontrollers to add to our catalog. Different controllers have a different amount of I/O pins and different memory capasities. Theres a new section for these products at Components / AVR. You’ll find specific details from the datasheets at the product description area. The AVR is a modified Harvard architecture 8-bit RISC single chip microcontroller which was developed by Atmel in 1996. There is a different products for many kind of needs at the product family.
We also added a basic selection of regulators for your DIY project needs.
Other additions:
Clear RGB-led to complement our existing diffused RGB-led
8-pin female header for Arduino shields.
Getting started with Arduino -book and
Logic level converters are back in stock
We also made a special autumn offer, now Arduino duemilanove is on sale for only 20eur for a limited time!
Best,

Hei
Toinen täysin uusi kategoria on komponenttien alta löytyvät regulaattorit. Tarjolla on siis vihdoinkin erilaisia regulaattoreita omiin projekteihin virranlähteiksi ja virran tasaamiseen.
Muita lisäyksiä:
Mattapintaisen RGB-ledin rinnalle on lisätty kirkas vaihtoehto
8-pinninen naaraspuolinen kytkentärima pitkillä pinneillä (Arduinolle)
Hetken varastosta lopussa olleita Logic Level -konvertereita ja
Getting Started with Arduino -kirjoja on taas saatavilla
Syystarjouksena jo muutenkin Suomen halvin Arduino Duemilanove on nyt saatavilla meiltä rajoitetun ajan tasarahalla: 20 euroa / kpl.
Terkuin!

Hei,
Paeaella on 1-vuotissynttärit.
Ilmainen toimitus Assembly-tapahtumaan 5.-8.8.2010 Hartwall Arenalla
Toimitus Assemblyille:
- Tilaa tuotteet kaupasta aivan normaalisti, mutta valitse ilmainen kuljetusvaihtoehto “toimitus Assembly 2010″
- Vastaa tilausvahvistukseen sähköpostilla, ja ilmoita konepaikkasi numero: saat tilauksesi suoraan konepaikallesi sinulle toimitettuna.
- Vaihtoehtoisesti voit tulla noutamaan tilauksesi infopisteen luota sovittuna aikana. Mahdollisuus tähän on päivittäin, koko tapahtuman ajan.
- Tilaukset toimitetaan viimeistään seuraavana päivänä tilauksen tekemisestä. Ilmoitamme tekstiviestillä kun tilauksesi on noudettavissa. Varmista, että puhelinnumerosi on oikein tilausta tehdessäsi!
Elokuun aikana Arduino-tiimiltä tulee uusi versio Ethernet Shieldistä, jossa on muun muassa tuki Arduino Megalle ja SD-korttipaikka. Ethernet Shieldit Arduino Duemilanovelle myydään nyt varastosta loppuun alehinnalla 28 euroa/kpl! Vaikka Arduino-tiimi on tehnyt shieldiin päivityksen, vanha Ethernet shield on edelleen erittäin hyvä tuote ja täysin toimiva Duemilanoven kanssa käytettäessä.
Hyvää loppukesää

After a failure yesterday I managed to print a new printuder II to replace my old printuder (below).
I think it’s much better than the regular plastruder and has not failed after I installed the MK5 worm gear.

I left my cupcake alone to print and when I come back, this is waiting for me…
Apparently Z stage raised itself from the nuts and started climbing…
Update: Seems that the filament got stuck to the cardboard box above and extruder started climbing when it couldn’t get more filament.

In my opinion the current G3Firmware is quite a mess. I hacked an LCD support to it some time ago and found the code to be quite hard to follow and not very organized. Also I’ve been thinking of new motherboard based on Arduino Mega and I needed firmware for that so last week I started to code my own firmware for Cupcake / RepRap. It’s now alpha quality and it’s GPL. You can take a peek at http://github.com/paeaetech/FirmCake.
Some features:
- Doesn’t use Arduino libraries at all, just straight plain AVR goodness.
- Supports (or will support) SD card and FAT32(!).
- LCD and keypad support (coming)
- Should work with current sanguino motherboard also, but this is not yet tested.

Heippa,

Dear all,
The colourful Arduino Duemilanoves and Arduino Mega microcontroller boards are back in stock.
Arduino Duemilanove is the most popular and extremely starter friendly board, which can also be used for professional prototyping. If you want to add a colour to your project or perhaps give a specially cute present to someone this might be your answer. From our stock you can pick your own colour. Most of the colours have been out of stock but right now they are all available again. You can for example choose a summery yellow board or the golden one. The chocolate brown and purple boards are almost as dark as the black one with a special twist. Limited edition.
In case you want to place an order before our summer vocation, the time is now. All the orders made by the end of this week can be delivered. So we will sort out your order if you make it on Sunday, we may even be able to do your Monday order but can’t promise that. After that the delivery times will be longer than usually for a while.
Have a loveley summer!

I am a big fan of IMGUI style user interfaces and I just found one of the many IMGUI implementations I’ve made with Python and decided to put it on a GPL license and release it. It’s still very immature but still quite useful for small projects. You can find it at http://github.com/paeaetech/pgui.
More reading on IMGUIs can be found at Mollyrocket forums.

Replaced the standard cupcake threaded rods with trapezoidal rods. It rocks!
I was really unimpressed with the rods that came with my Cupcake package. Most of them were already not very straight and made the Z-stage wobble really bad. Now the z-stage flows really smoothly. Hardest part was to get the ReplicatorG axis scale value right so that the stage moves right amount.

So I finally got some time to read the “Arduino – Getting started with” book bit further, and I like it.

It’s not very technical book. I think I was expecting something that’s on the border of my knowledge. I was expecting that I would have to really try to understand the content but then, when i do understand I would instantly get a new information.
well… it’s not like that. The book is more like an introduction to Arduino: what is it all about, why would you use one and how can you use one. I’m starting to think it may be a perfect answer for people who are asking what is arduino and is it easy enough for them. For the kind of people who are interested to start electronics but have no idea of what is prototyping or why should one use a resistor. Actually: if you go according to this book: you don’t even need to know or think of that kind of issues: you can just explore with the things and simple coding. The book has quite an inspiring feeling in it, i think.
It may be, that we have to add this thing to the paeae.com catalog.

We’ve been talking about getting a Roomba for some time and today I impulse shopped one (well, the actual shopping trip involved quite few complications and took over two and half hours) today. Now it is whirling away in the bedroom cleaning under the bed. Doesn’t seem to like the living room mat very much but we’ll see.
I already browsed the net for some information about hacking Roombas and there seems to be some potential in interfacing with Roomba. Yet another project when I have enough time…
