So our new postage fee machine arrived today!
I was excited but right now I’m bit surprised. Didn’t expect that the machine that reads our becoming post payment accounts and takes the fees directly from there using internet would have a phone in it. (we have a cable internet, fast one) It’s really an old fashioned, real land line phone… I haven’t seen those in ages. And the machine told it was updated at 2005. The technology behind it is still bit older… oh, this will be interesting. It also takes a lot of space from our small office space. …so I’m not totally happy (expenses, takes lot of space and is old technology..oh my)
Well, the main thing is that the delivery times should be faster again: same as before the new contracts from posti and same as first class postage delivery times usually (except for business customers;) are (1-2 days). This is bit more expensive for us as we had to get that machine but it seems to be the only way to get things to customers in reasonable times so we will go with that.
Now we still need one more code from posti / itella and we are ready to go.
yeh, we got the code etc. It wasn’t as fast as i thought first (read. didn’t get it quite the next day) but it seems working nicely, so faster deliveries…
